Asset Quality of the Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations as of the End of July 2026

Agricultural Finance Agency , Ministry of Agriculture (the AFNA) has released that total deposits extended by the current 311 Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations decreased by NT$ 4.7 billion (US$0.146 billion) from NT$2,332.1 billion (US$72.219 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$2,327.4 billion (US$72.074 billion). Total outstanding loans increased by NT$ 1.9 billion (US$0.059 billion) from NT$1,596.9 billion (US$49.452 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$1,598.8 billion (US$49.511 billion) at the end of July 2026. Meanwhile, the NPLs of these credit departments totaled at NT$6.915 billion (US$0.2141 billion) which increased by NT$0.273 billion (US$0.0085 billion) from NT$6.642 billion (US$0.2057 billion) at the end of the previous month. The average NPL ratio of these credit departments increased by 0.01 percentage points and therefore rose to a figure of 0.43% from 0.42% of the previous month.
Of the 311 credit departments , 245 NPL ratio of less than 1%, of which 23 had NPL ratio of 0%, indicating that loan quality was quite high. The coverage ratios of allowances for NPLs decreased by 35.26 percentage points and therefore fell to a figure of 857.9% from 893.16% of the previous month.
The AFNA will continue to maintain a firm grasp of the operational situation at credit departments, and will strengthen oversight and guidance work to continue to assist credit departments to ensure sound operations, and to maintain the stable development of agricultural finance.
