Asset Quality of the Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations as of the End of June 2026

Agricultural Finance Agency , Ministry of Agriculture (the AFNA) has released that total deposits extended by the current 311 Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations decreased by NT$ 4.8 billion (US$0.151 billion) from NT$2,336.9 billion (US$73.402 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$2,332.1 billion (US$73.251 billion). Total outstanding loans increased by NT$ 3.4 billion (US$0.107 billion) from NT$1,593.5 billion (US$50.052 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$1,596.9 billion (US$50.159 billion) at the end of June 2026. Meanwhile, the NPLs of these credit departments totaled at NT$6.642 billion (US$0.2086 billion) which decreased by NT$0.017 billion (US$0.0005 billion) from NT$6.659 billion (US$0.2092 billion) at the end of the previous month. The average NPL ratio of these credit departments kept flat at 0.42%.
Of the 311 credit departments , 242 NPL ratio of less than 1%, of which 23 had NPL ratio of 0%, indicating that loan quality was quite high. The coverage ratios of allowances for NPLs increased by 1.73 percentage points and therefore rose to a figure of 893.16% from 891.43% of the previous month.
The AFNA will continue to maintain a firm grasp of the operational situation at credit departments, and will strengthen oversight and guidance work to continue to assist credit departments to ensure sound operations, and to maintain the stable development of agricultural finance.
