Asset Quality of the Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations as of the End of November 2024

Agricultural Finance Agency , Ministry of Agriculture (the AFNA) has released that total deposits extended by the current 311 Credit Departments of Farmers' and Fishermen's Associations increased by NT$ 6.5 billion (US$0.200 billion) from NT$2,286.9 billion (US$70.459 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$2,293.4 billion (US$70.660 billion). Total outstanding loans increased by NT$15.2 billion (US$0.468 billion) from NT$1,512.9 billion (US$46.612 billion) of the previous month and amounted to NT$1,528.1 billion (US$47.081 billion) at the end of November 2024. Meanwhile, the NPLs of these credit departments totaled at NT$4.089 billion (US$0.126 billion) which increased by NT$ 0.015 billion (US$0.0005 billion) from NT$4.074 billion (US$0.1255 billion) at the end of the previous month. The average NPL ratio of these credit departments kept flat at 0.27%.
Of the 311 credit departments , 273 NPL ratio of less than 1%, of which 40 had NPL ratio of 0%, indicating that loan quality was quite high. The coverage ratios of allowances for NPLs increased by 2.1 percentage points and therefore rose to a figure of 1,248.03% from 1,245.93% of the previous month.
The AFNA will continue to maintain a firm grasp of the operational situation at credit departments, and will strengthen oversight and guidance work to continue to assist credit departments to ensure sound operations, and to maintain the stable development of agricultural finance.
